Fender Kingman Acoustic Guitar 1969 Made in USA Vintage Pre-Owned
Rare vintage Fender Kingman Acoustic, circa 1968/69, serial number 3244.
Fitted with a super rare, factory Fender branded DeArmond soondhole pickup.
Beautiful looking instrument, with it's warm-honey coloured Spruce top, and Gold multiply pickguard.
Bolt-on, slim C shape maple neck with Fender neckplate. The neck profile is more similar to a 70's profile Strat, making it very comfortable to play. Bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl rectangle inlays. Sealed Fender tuning machines. Heel adjust truss rod.
The truss rod is relatively firm/tight, and it has a medium action compared to a modern acoustic. Still very playable for a vintage steel string.
Early 'Polyurethane' finish guitar, which as you can see in the photos, has cracked quite spectacularly in place. It's most noticeable on the back and sides, with one area near the heel plate having come off entirely. Whilst it doesn't look the greatest, particularly on the back, the finish is not 'flaking off' or coming off all over the place. Aside from the obvious cracks and aforemention 'bare section' the finish is actually quite solid.
A very cool, vibey, great sounding USA made 1960's acoustic!
Includes hardshell case.
